Adventist Youth Conference 2009 is a youth-led initiative to inspire and equip young people on a mission to be soul-winners and proclaim the everlasting gospel to this generation. This conference is set out to turn the training into action, as well as, an inspirational kick to get all the young people to move forward and to get out there and take on the youth challenge, to make a stand for God and His truth, to study the Bible and pray like never before as Jesus is coming soon, to revolutionise their churches, to turn the world upside down by proclaiming the gospel and truth to their community and the world. History of AYCAdventist Youth Conference ’09 is the fourth Australian training conference following the successful conferences in February 2006 and 2007 in Melbourne, Victoria, led by the Gateway Adventist Centre, and in Sydney, NSW in February 2008 by Fountain in the City. This conference carries the theme which progresses from the previous conferences with Recruiting God’s Army (06), Training God’s Army (07) and ‘It’s time! – to Reach, Preach and Teach’ (08). The Youth Conference in Australia was first established in Melbourne, in 2006, led by Gateway Adventist Church. The vision of Adventist Youth Conference came from four different churches around Australia: Gateway Adventist Centre (VIC), Waitara SDA church (NSW), Victoria Park SDA church (WA) and Edens Landing SDA church (QLD). Goals of AYC'09 Participants of AYC'09 should expect to leave the conference with: - A sense of God’s call for their life and a commitment to live daily for Him
- A deeper understanding of the Word of God and the distinctive message of the Seventh-day Adventist church, and effective approaches for communicating this understanding
- Practical methods for witnessing in their respective places of work and study
- Practical plans for youth group outreach
- Networks and contacts with other dedicated Adventist young people and youth-oriented ministries
- An on-site experience in an evangelistic outreach to impact the local community
- Opportunities to become involved in some soul-winning ministry
The Spirit of AYC'09AYC'09 seeks to uphold the distinctive messages of the SDA Church: - A respect for Scripture – as the foundation and test of all teachings and practices;

- A passion for lost souls – animated by a personal experience in the saving love of Jesus and a desire for His imminent return;
- A cultivation of godly relationships – preserving purity and encouraging accountability;
- An exemplary and abundant lifestyle – in recreation, entertainment, dress, and healthful living;
- An enthusiasm for service – through care for the needy, service to the community, promotion of human rights, and stewardship of the environment;
- A commitment to the Seventh-day Adventist Church as God’s remnant church – by supporting and upholding its principles, organization, and leadership;
- An attitude of humility and cordiality – as we seek to clarify, articulate, and defend the biblical teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
