Do you have a desire to be on fire for the Lord? Do you want to rekindle the passion and commitment that was in your heart for serving Jesus? Do you want to be trained to reach out to the people around you?
For 2008, we aim to inspire the young people to be ready, to take on a challenge in their lives in directing their goal in life in spreading the Three Angel’s Message. Jesus called the disciples to:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matt 28:19,20)
Jesus is coming soon! It’s no longer the time to wait, to postpone, but to realise that the time is near and to get into action. The world needs to know about Jesus and the Lord is calling you to be ready. It’s time to be inspired, to be equipped and to be in action!
If you have a desire in serving the Lord and serious in being equipped to be trained in practical ways to witness, evangelise and teach God’s Word, Youth Conference 2008 (YC’08) is for you!
Romans 13:11, 12
‘And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep;
for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
‘The night is far spent, the day is at hand.
Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.’
AYC ‘08 will run from the 14th to the 17th of February 2008 in Sydney, NSW, Australia, and is hosted by Fountain in the City church and Greater Sydney Conference.
The theme for the 2008 Youth Conference is ‘It’s time!‘
As a committee, we believe the theme ‘It’s time!’ progresses from the previous two conferences with Recruiting God’s Army (06) and Training God’s Army (07). These two themes have been appropriate for the establishment of the Youth Conference in Australia. Jesus Himself recruited the disciples and trained them close to Him to prepare them for the work needed after He ascended back to the Father. It is appropriate that the progression from recruiting and training leads to the Great Commission message or mobilisation of the young people to anywhere where God leads them. This conference is set out to turn the training into action, as well as, an inspirational kick to get all the young people to move forward and to get out there and take on the youth challenge, to make a stand for God and His truth, to study the Bible and pray like never before as Jesus is coming soon, to revolutionise their churches, to turn the world upside down by proclaiming the gospel and truth to their community and the world.
